Integrating a subwoofer well is less about raw output and more about a clean, precisely tuned handoff between it and your main speakers — get that handoff wrong and you hear it as bloat, or a hole, right where the crossover happens. The ActivXO is Wilson's purpose-built answer: a fully analog, dual-channel electronic crossover that replaces the long-serving WATCH Controller with independent fine-tuning for two separate subwoofers, not just one shared setting.

Each channel gets its own adjustable crossover frequency and slope, plus continuously variable phase control, so you can dial in exactly where and how steeply the handoff happens for each sub individually. It accepts both balanced and single-ended inputs and works as a high-pass filter for your mains, a low-pass filter for your subs, or both simultaneously — flexible enough to serve a dedicated two-channel music system or double as the subwoofer controller in a full home theater setup. It's fully analog throughout, deliberately avoiding digital circuitry in the signal path to preserve ultimate sound quality.
