Designed to control electrical and electromagnetic interference around your audio components, Frey 3 uses carefully engineered conductors, insulation and shielding to provide a stable power connection. Its construction is intended to minimize unwanted interactions within the cable and with the surrounding environment.
Five 16 AWG silver-plated solid-core oxygen-free copper conductors form the foundation of the design. Each conductor uses Nordost's proprietary Micro Mono-Filament technology, with an FEP filament wrapped around it before being encased in extruded FEP insulation. This creates a virtual air dielectric around the conductor, while Mechanically Tuned Lengths help optimize conductor resonances.
AC-optimized shielding with 90% overall coverage helps contain electromagnetic energy generated by the cable while reducing susceptibility to external electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. Available with US, EU, UK or Australian wall plugs, the Frey 3 can be configured with either an IEC-C15 or higher-current IEC-C19 equipment connector, making it suitable for a range of audio components and system configurations.
