Gryphon Ethos Black Edition

Introducing the Gryphon Ethos CD, a masterpiece of audio engineering and design that redefines the concept of a CD player. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Ethos CD is more than just a piece of audio equipment—it is a work of art that enhances any luxury living space.

The design of the Ethos CD is striking, featuring a delta-shaped chassis made from precision-milled aluminum and acrylic, with an arched aluminum CD lid that has been acclaimed as "The Most Beautiful Audio Component Ever Made." But its beauty is more than skin-deep; inside, the Ethos CD boasts state-of-the-art components and technology.

The Ethos CD is actually two components in one, serving as both a world-class CD player and a top-of-the-line DAC. It features the finest CD transport mechanism available, along with advanced Digital-to-Analog Converters and Digital Filters. The unit is designed with dual monaural power supplies in individual chassis, ensuring total isolation of the left and right channels to protect the audio signal from interference.

In terms of connectivity, the Ethos CD offers unparalleled flexibility. It features AES/EBU, USB, and BNC inputs, allowing direct connection of external digital sources such as streamers, computers, and music servers. The DAC section supports formats up to 32-bit/384 kHz PCM and DSD512, and an AES/EBU output allows connection to external DACs. The USB socket features a "Super Capacitor" power supply and is fully compatible with all digital audio formats.

The audio performance of the Ethos CD is truly exceptional. It employs ESS SABRE ES9038PRO 32-bit DAC chips in a dual-differential, dual-mono topology, ensuring precise and accurate sound reproduction. The unit also features ten user-selectable digital roll-off filters and user-selectable asynchronous PCM sample rate conversion, allowing listeners to customize the sound to their liking.

In addition to its technical prowess, the Ethos CD is designed to stand the test of time. It features upgradeable firmware, software, and modular construction, ensuring that it remains at the cutting edge of audio technology for years to come. With its exquisite craftsmanship, intuitive operation, and supreme functionality, the Gryphon Ethos CD truly represents "The Best" in every way.
