The dCS Vivaldi CD/SACD Transport II is built for listeners who want to give their physical discs the same attention as their high-resolution digital sources. Its dedicated CD/SACD mechanism reads your discs and sends the digital data to a separate DAC, keeping the transport focused entirely on accurate disc playback. With SACDs, you can send native DSD to a compatible dCS DAC, while CDs can be played at their native resolution or upsampled to DXD, DSD, or DSDx2.

You'll also get precise control over how the transport communicates with the rest of your system. Dual AES outputs allow high-resolution data from CDs and SACDs to reach a compatible dCS DAC, while standard AES and S/PDIF outputs provide 16/44.1 playback. Word Clock input and output give you additional flexibility when integrating the Transport into a Vivaldi digital system.

The Transport II also uses separate power circuits for its digital processing and disc mechanism, along with a carefully damped aluminum chassis.
