A Bold New Concept

The Momentum C2 - short for Concept 2 - represents a significant advancement beyond its predecessor, the acclaimed Momentum HD Preamplifier. It introduces an entirely new architecture, built around a complementary four-circuit topology inspired by the flagship Relentless Preamplifier, along with comprehensive innovations spanning the input stage, power supply, and an optional Digital Streaming Module. Together, these elements place the Momentum C2 in a class of its own.

Building on this foundation, the Momentum C2Z extends the C2 platform to fully complement the latest generation of Momentum Z power amplifiers. While the C2 and C2Z share the same core design, features, and operation, the C2Z incorporates a FET-based output stage capable of delivering substantially greater current. This enhancement is specifically engineered to match the Z input stage introduced in the Momentum Z amplifiers, creating a highly synergistic interface in which the preamplifier can deliver increased current and the amplifier is designed to receive and utilize it with maximum efficiency.

The choice between the two models is therefore straightforward: the Momentum C2Z is the ideal partner for amplifiers equipped with a Z input stage, while the Momentum C2 remains the reference for all other applications. Operationally, both preamplifiers perform identically, differing only in their optimized output stage design.
