Designed by the late great Charles Hansen, the V-1xe embodies the company's ethos of neutrality and musicality. Using high end circuitry like true dual differential balanced design, zero feedback, FET devices, the V-1xe is musical in the way that it draws you into the music without adding coloration or sounding sterile. It has tons of power and current so driving virtually any speaker is not an issue. Charlie was fanatical about only using the best and appropriate parts and circuitry, with no short cuts, and always letting the ears be the final judge. I spent many hours discussing design and music with him and found him to be one of the most intellectually honest and knowledgeable people in our industry
I can easily say this about the V-1xe, you would have to spend many times more than this to get anything as good.
