The new McIntosh MX123 AV Processor includes all the latest technologies for the highest performance in Home Theater today. On the video side, it is able to process 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Vision, HD10 and HLG to give you the richest colors, punchiest and most detailed picture possible. On the audio side, the MX123 gives you the most immersive audio experience by decoding up to 13.2 audio channels, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Audo-3D and IMAX Enhanced. More importantly, it has the legendary McIntosh sound; explosive dynamics, smooth and rich midrange/high frequencies that will draw you into the movie or concert for hours without fatigue.
There are 7 HDMi inputs and 3 HDMi outputs for ultimate flexibility. All HDMi inputs and outputs are HDCP 2.3 compliant, meaning that there will not be any connectivity issues with your TV or projector. The HDMI connections also have 18Gbps of bandwidth to support the highest picture quality. If you want to connect your TV to reproduce high resolution audio, one of the HDMi inputs even has Enhanced Audio Return Channel capability that will decode the higher resolution signal.
It even has a MM phono input for your turntable needs!
The MX123 is also IMAX Enhanced. Some of you may know that IMAX has established a set of very stringent performance standards, much like what THX did in the 90s. These standards ensure that the picture and sound quality is at the highest possible level, and the McIntosh MX123 has it!
The MX123 includes streaming options like Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth and Spotify Connect.
For optimum room correction, the MX123 uses the Audyssey MultEQ XT32. Each channel has its own 32-bit premium DAC to produce the best sound possible. It even has 2 additional zones so you can send audio and video to other parts of your home.
